[ GETTING HELP ]
For support, questions, or bug reports, message us through the RCT Authority contact page. When reporting a problem, please include:
- App version (Command Center → bottom of screen, or the splash shows INITIALIZING FIRMWARE V1.6.0…).
- iOS version (Settings → General → About → iOS Version).
- Device model (Settings → General → About → Model Name).
- Whether you used a gamepad (and which one).
- What you expected vs. what happened.
[ FIELD MANUAL ]
The in-app Field Manual covers normal operation: swipe up from the meter face → System Documentation → Open Field Manual. The same content ships inside the app.
[ QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING ]
- Splash screen lingers. Tap anywhere on the splash to skip the boot animation.
- Taps on the meter do nothing or the wrong thing. The meter face is split into invisible halves: the left half (full height) switches units (count ⇄ dose); the right half upper area drives the reading UP; the right half lower area drives it DOWN. The number jitters a few percent on its own — that’s intentional, not a fault.
- Can't open the Command Center. Swipe up from the meter face (drag a finger upward). Swipe-down does nothing by design.
- Gamepad not responding. Command Center → BLUETOOTH REMOTE shows a green dot when connected. A red dot means re-pair in iOS Settings → Bluetooth (the 8Bitdo Micro needs “S”/Switch gamepad mode), then reopen the app.
- Alarm won't stop. The alarm latches by design — press ALARM ACK at the bottom of the meter face. If the reading is still over the limit it will re-trip; lower the reading or disable the alarm in Command Center → ALARM THRESHOLDS.
- Display reads ERR or OFL. A simulated hardware fault is active. Command Center → SYSTEM INJECTION → CLEAR.
- LCD reads µrem when you want mrem. That’s the auto-promote ladder doing its job below 1 mrem/h. Command Center → GLOBAL STANDARDS → DOSE UNIT LOCK → pick mrem to pin it.
- Audio stopped after a phone call. It should auto-recover; if not, fully close and reopen the app. Please report it — it indicates the interruption-recovery handler missed an edge case.
- Battery icon shows low on a fully charged phone. That’s the simulated meter battery, controllable from Command Center → POWER OVERRIDE — an instructor training control, not your phone’s actual battery.
[ COMPATIBILITY ]
- iOS 26.4 or later.
- iPhone and iPad (universal app).
- Optional: any MFi gamepad with extended profile (the Field Manual uses the 8Bitdo Micro as the reference; other extended gamepads work, though button names default to the 8Bitdo layout).
[ SUBSCRIPTIONS, ACCOUNTS, IN-APP PURCHASES ]
The app has none. It is a one-time purchase and runs fully offline.
[ PRIVACY ]
The app collects nothing and has no network. See the RADIACSIM Lite privacy page.
