RADIACSIM Lite is a single-device, offline iOS training simulator published by Julio Colón. This policy covers the iOS app and is separate from the RCT Authority store privacy policy.
[ SHORT VERSION ]
We collect nothing. The app has no network. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, no tracking, no account, no login, no cloud sync. Everything happens on your device.
[ WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE ]
The app stores one thing locally on the device, in iOS’s standard UserDefaults:
- Gamepad button bindings: If you pair an 8Bitdo (or other MFi) controller and rebind buttons in Command Center → Bluetooth Remote, your mapping is saved so it survives a relaunch.
That data is accessible only to RADIACSIM Lite. It is never read by other apps, never sent off-device, and never backed up to any third-party service. iOS may include it in your standard iCloud device backup (as it does for every app’s local preferences); we have no access to those backups. This is declared in the app’s Privacy Manifest under Apple’s reason code CA92.1 (app-exclusive UserDefaults access).
[ WHAT THE APP DOES NOT COLLECT OR DO ]
- No network requests: Never contacts any server — no HTTP client, WebSocket, third-party SDK, or analytics beacon. Runs end-to-end in Airplane Mode.
- No location: No CLLocationManager exists in the binary.
- No Bluetooth pairing of its own: Gamepad pairing happens in iOS Settings → Bluetooth; the app only listens for the system’s GCController events.
- No microphone: Click and alarm audio are generated internally; it never records.
- No camera, contacts, calendar, photos, or health data: None are accessed.
- No advertising identifier (IDFA) or tracking: No App Tracking Transparency prompt — there is nothing to track.
- No third-party SDKs: Only Apple frameworks: SwiftUI, Foundation, AVFoundation (the click + alarm tone), and GameController.
[ CHILDREN ]
The app is built for professional and educational radiological survey training; it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
[ CHANGES TO THIS POLICY ]
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an opt-in feature that needs new permissions — we will update this page and bump the effective date above. We will not silently begin collecting data.
